Our Story

In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, Ian Burns bought Brown Bag Burger in Prescott, AZ. It was a restaurant on the downturn and needed a breath of fresh air. We dramatically changed the menu and started using high-quality ingredients, including choice ground sirloin from a local butcher. More so, we started making custom sauces from scratch and coming up with new burger creations. The change was met with a lot of praise from the local community and we started seeing an increase in traffic and sales. Over the course of the last few years, we’ve been able to open a second location in Flagstaff, AZ and move our tiny Prescott restaurant into a downtown space and start a brewery. Everything has been based on the quality of our product and the love we treat our staff and customers with. We really feel an attachment to those that have allowed us to grow so much so fast.

Overall, it's the best burger spot in Flagstaff. Don't hesitate to order their salads or sandwiches either -- all excellent quality & tasty! My personal favorite is the Cajun Burger & add jalapeños. Spicy, zesty, & perfectly balanced flavors with onion jam & coleslaw as well. They still have minor kinks to work out with service & setting, yet I've already returned several times to taste their terrific burgers/fries/tots. The meat is locally sourced, and is choice sirloin cut, yum. Parking is available in the ramp on 1st floor so don't let that deter you. Full bar is a plus and the atmosphere keeps improving by the day. Give them a try, I promise you won't be disappointed -- a welcome addition to Flagstaff food scene.

We put a lot of thought into our team and who we hire. We see it more as a family than a job and we hire based on the atmosphere we want to create and the energy our staff puts out.  We value our employees and go above and beyond to make sure they are heard, respected, and taken care of. That care is then transferred into the guest experience and overall success of Brown Bag Burger. 

Donna Bofamy

Donna is the GM for Prescott and the backbone of Brown Bag Burger. She goes above and beyond to make sure each location is successful. We would not be where we are today without her. 

John Boston

John came in with no restaurant experience but has grown exponentially in his time here. He now runs the Prescott location kitchen. His attitude and dedication to the restaurant are never overlooked. 

Josh Kinsolving

Josh is new to the organization but has come on with a great attitude and desire to help make the Flagstaff location as good as it can be. He is in charge of the kitchen for the Flagstaff location.
